Long Term Security

A Nature Reserve Burial Grounds site is protected by a 100 year lease. This does not allow anything to happen on that site other than the creation of a burial ground and a nature reserve, for the entirety of that one hundred years.

Yew BerriesWith a century of careful management, at the end of that time the nature reserve will be well established, and protected as such - for the benefit of future generations.

Furthermore, a percentage of every grave plot sold on a Nature Reserve Burial Grounds site is placed into a trust. This accumulated fund is maintained until the burial ground is declared full, and therefore loses its direct source of income.

At this point, a site may be handed over to an established local wildlife trust, together with the funding accumulated in its own trust.

So the future of a Nature Reserve Burial Grounds site is thoroughly secured.
