Memorial Oak Benches

Occasionally, beautifully hand-crafted benches can also be bought through Nature Reserve Burial Grounds. The bench can be hand-engraved with the name, dates and few words, or a slate plaque can be secured onto the back of the bench.

The benches chosen are made of English oak from sustainable forest sources, and only two metal bolts are used in their construction. Because we do not varnish the benches, after a year or so the oak softens to a natural dark grey. Bark may fall off, but the bench itself remains sturdy for many years.

In order to retain the natural feel of the burial ground, only a limited number of benches can be bought for a site. Please enquire as to whether this memorial option is available.
