Burials in the Wildflower Meadow
In the meadows, native wildflowers and grasses are sown or planted, providing areas that are open and peaceful.
As the seasons change, these meadows change colour as flowers come into bloom, the grasses moving in the breeze.
For the funeral itself and, during the summer months when the grass is still growing, the area around the grave is mown. Apart from that, the grass and flowers around meadow graves is strimmed just once a year.
On meadow graves memorial plaques are not permitted. We encourage families to consider buying a plaque for one of the memorial posts close to the grave.
The photograph shows a grave in the meadow, not yet sown with wildflowers.
